Parkdale House

This infill project is a semi-detached house to be rented by owners who realize the benefits of a high quality, low-energy revenue property. They can attract more reliable long-term renters, minimize maintenance, increase income, and contribute to the improvement of the neighborhood. The house will be highly airtight and properly vented with heat recovery ventilators. The windows will be triple-glazed, and the exterior sheathing a combination of fibre-cement and steel panels, the floors highly durable concrete. The main floors have nine foot ceilings. Although the form is quite simple, the house will appear to be single dwelling as the entries are on different faces, and the windows differ on each unit. Each side is a two-bedroom unit of 1084 sq. ft., with separate utilities.
